extraordinary - adjective - very unusual or remarkable.
Extrordinary. It’s rare to find something or someone that changes life as you know it. Yes this is coming from my melodramatic core, however nothing else in the world gives you the same feeling as when you discover something new that you love.
So recently I was wandering aimlessly through Covent Garden, in the piazza, when I discovered this brand, The Ordinary. After seeing the endles Instagram posts about this miracle peeling solution, I decided to investigate. After a short while in the store I left having spend under £30 on 4 serum like skincare products, including the miracle product I had heard so much about.
AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
So after endless months of teasing. I FOUND IT, in the flesh and totally unexpected. Best of all it was it was only £6.30. WAIT WHAT? Yes only six pounds and thirty pence. However wrong it may be I was having doubts as to what I could do for my skin when it was so cheap. Nevertheless I took it and now after eight weeks of using twice a week I can firmly say... It’s worth the HYPE! Reduces breakouts to almost nothing, smooths the texture of your skin and best of all tightens and helps reduce lines.
Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane
Have you ever used Retinol? No? Why?
If you’re asking what is retinol then here is your answer. It is a form of Vitiam A, which helps with the stimulate the reproduction of your skin cells. A Retinoid is a more advanced molecule than standard Vitiam A, which can help to boost moisture and lessen the irritation that may be caused.
So over the years I have used my fair share of retinol, however I have always been faced with serious irritation or dryness as a result of using them. Currently I’m using the 2% Retinoid and after the eight weeks of use my skin has never been better. The best thing about The Ordinary is that it offers a range of retinol products from 0.5% up to 5% to enable you to let your skin build up a tolerance.
Salicylic Acid 2% Solution
Designed to fight the bacteria from breakouts this 2% Salicylic Acid is the solution to help fight those pesky breakouts. My favourite thing about this product is that it applies effortlessly causing no irritation. However not 5 stars because it hasn’t totally cleared my skin (yet) but I’ll keep you guys updated.
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
As I have mentioned previously I have been using all of these products for around eight weeks now. This product is designed to slow the production of sebum, your skins natural oil, which in turn leaves skin looking more matte and prevents breakouts. For the most part I have noticed a huge difference in my skin since using these product, however I do want to warn you that this can sting a little upon application, so may not be the best for those of you with sensitive skin.
I have decided to do STAR ratings on each product I test 1 STAR being that it was ok and I wouldn't recommend to 5 STAR which is essentially me asking why you don't have it already.
